The Valley Leisure Centre offers first class swimming lessons for both children and adults. It's never too late to learn!

Children’s Lessons

To qualify for a place on the Dipper the Dolphin swimming scheme your child must be on the waiting list. We currently have a 6 month waiting list. The child can be put on the waiting list from 4 years old and start the classes when they are 5. Forms for the waiting list can be collected at the Valley Leisure Centre reception or downloaded below and returned for the attention of the swimming co-ordinator.

Childrens’ lessons normally run for a 12 week course. Lessons are part of the ASA Frosties National Swim awards (visit website) and we provide levels 1 – 10.

• Duration: 13 weeks / 30 minutes per lesson.
• Cost: £45.50 per child
• Times: Mon-Thurs 3:30pm-6:00pm, Sat 8:45am-11:15am

Adult Beginners & Improvers Courses

• Next Course:15th September - 20th October
• Times: 8:00pm-8:45pm (beginners) / 9:00pm-9:45pm (improvers)
• Cost: £30.60 (Zest member) / £36.00 (Non-member)
