The Newtownabbey Sporting Hall of Fame is established to honour outstanding persons, living or deceased, who have gained prominence and have made substantial contributions on behalf of themselves and Newtownabbey in the fields of professional and amateur sports.

The Newtownabbey Sporting Hall of Fame will serve as a public museum to educate the public with regard to the cultural, historical and human contributions and achievements of the honorees in and out of the world of sport.
