With effect from the 3rd October 2011 a birth, still-birth or death that occurred in Northern Ireland can be registered in any registration office in Northern Ireland.

Bank Holiday Monday 27th May – Registration Office is CLOSED

Bank Holiday Monday 27th May – Cemeteries Office OPEN from 8:30- 10:00am for the arrangement of funerals only.

Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday 28th May

The Registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships Office for the Newtownabbey District is located just inside the main entrance of Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey.

Registrations Held by Newtownabbey

Certified Copies of Births, Stillbirths & Deaths registered in Newtownabbey since 1997, Marriages and Civil Partnerships from 2004 onwards may be obtained from this office.

Births, Stillbirths, Deaths and Marriages which were registered in Northern Ireland before these times can be obtained from the General Register Office, Oxford House 49/55 Chichester Street Belfast BT1 4UY.
