Where paths are shared, cyclists must give way to pedestrians and disabled users, slow down and be prepared to stop. Cyclists must be allowed to freely pass. It is illegal for cyclists to cycle on the footway (a path next to the road) unless signs show shared use is allowed.
All vehicular traffic is prohibited from using the paths except pedal cycles and wheelchairs.
