Farewell to Hilary

Staff and members of Newtownabbey Borough Council got together this week today to bid a fond farewell to Hilary Brady, the Council’s Deputy Chief Executive. 
 
Hilary retires from the Council after having joined in 1993 as Assistant Director of Client/Corporate Services. Hilary began her career as Head of Girls Physical Education in Ballymena Academy, then moving on to work in Ballymena, Belfast and Lisburn Council’s, making her total length of service within local government 34 years.
 
Speaking at the event, Norman Dunn, Chief Executive commented;
 
“Hilary will be greatly missed by both elected members and staff.
 
Her dedication and enthusiasm were central to the achievement of many important projects for the Borough and we wish her a long and very happy retirement.”
