Despite the chilly weather, crowds of families and locals turned out to the 2012 Autumnfest which took place in Ballyclare on Monday! The event offered seasonal activities in and around the town centre with something to keep everyone entertained.
Both the apple pie making and pumpkin carving really got everyone in the autumnal mood, with such a demand that there was not an apple or pumpkin left in sight after the event! The scarecrow competition was also as popular as ever with lots of fantastic entries! Around 1500 people attended the festival and favourites such as face painting, fun fair rides and inflatables really went down a treat with families looking to keep the kids entertained over the half-term holidays!
Taster sessions of sporting activities were also on offer at Sixmile Leisure Centre which went down a storm as parents and kids worked up a sweat despite the cold weather outside! A finale fireworks extravaganza at Town Square brought another successful Autumnfest to a close, ensuring the event went out with a bang!
