Last Friday the Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Victor Robinson helped to launch this year’s Poppy Appeal, buying the first poppy at Mossley Mill from members of the Whiteabbey and Ballyclare Royal British Legion.

The 2012 Poppy Appeal has a fundraising target of £42 million; money which will go towards providing support for the Armed Forces and their families.
