Lilian Bland Community Garden project will be holding its fourth action day this weekend with The Conservation Volunteers and Glengormley Community Group.
This Saturday 29th from 10am – 1pm we need volunteers to help with building some raised beds for planting a bit more colour into the garden. Have your say in what you would like to see planted, perhaps a winter flowering favourite or a seasonal delight?
The following Saturday 6th of October from 10am – 12pm we will be preparing another area for some wildflower seed, removing weeds and generally giving the place a tidy and helping the hedge plants to grow up well.
Keen gardener, local resident, into keeping fit or just enjoys the outdoors? Come along and see the garden start to take shape, grow and change into hopefully a place that can be appreciated and enjoyed by everyone in the Glengormley area and the wider borough.
Wrap up warm, water proofs and wellies are advisable. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided on the day.
