Preparations are well underway for the Shoreline Festival with a little help from the King who is sure to have this year’s event all shook up!
Loughshore Park in Jordanstown will host the annual Shoreline Festival featuring family fun and activities over the August bank holiday weekend from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th August climaxing with a spectacular fireworks display over Belfast Lough.
As in previous years, the festival will include a daily Family Fun Zone with bouncy castles, arts and crafts, archery, slack-lining and mobile climbing wall. Fabulous acts such as Ronnie Greer and The Elvis Spectacular are lined up for this year’s evening concerts while this year’s grand finale ‘Live Classics in the Park’ stars singing sensations Marie Flavin, Rebekah Coffey and baritone Ben McAteer. Don’t forget to bring along a picnic and chair to enjoy the ultimate al fresco summer entertainment!
New additions to this year’s festival include Blackberry Farm’s ‘Little Mobile Farm’ giving visitors the opportunity to hold, pet and feed cute and furry animals. Why not try out the latest craze and learn how to get about on a Segway upright vehicle and challenge yourself on the obstacle course or, test your balance and bravery and take the Activ8 Olympic Challenge with its nine high wire challenges? And, for the not so brave-hearted, why not put a team together and enter the sandcastle building competition?
With something for everyone, this year’s upcoming Shoreline Festival is set to rock!
