Call for Community Development Grant Applications. Applications are now invited from suitably constituted Community/Voluntary Sector organisations working within the Borough of Newtownabbey to apply for financial assistance for projects taking place between 1 July 2012 and 31 March 2013.
Funding is available under the following categories:
Seeding Grant
To assist new groups with initial outlay costs and administration.
Maximum Award £300.Premises Grant *To support the running costs of premises from which an approved programme of activities will be delivered. Maximum award £2,250
Community Outreachand Involvement Grant
To enable groups to deliver practical and innovative programmes of community support. Ma\ximum award £2,500
Group Advancement and Technical Assistance
Training and Development
To enable groups to participate in various training and development opportunities that build capacity and encourage skills acquisition. Maximum award £500
Technical Assistance
To provide support for feasibility studies, community research,consultancy support, environmental studies, business plans etcrelating to specific Community Development Initiatives. Maximum award £2,500
*Applicants are asked to note that a new Premises Grant policy has been introduced and will be
applied to this call for applications.
To facilitate projects taking place over the summer months and those starting later in the year two
staggered closing dates have been agreed.
For projects commencing from 1 July 2012 the closing date for the receipt of completed application
forms is 4pm on Friday 1 June 2012.
For projects commencing from 1 September 2012 the closing date for the receipt of completed
application forms is 4pm on 1 August 2012.
