Celebrate Vintage Scrapbooking Day at the Museum at The Mill on Saturday 5th May. Since 1994 scrapbookers from all over the country have been celebrating their passion for this craft on the first Saturday in May. You too can join in the celebrations by coming along to the Museum at The Mill and sampling the world of scrapbooking on Saturday 5th May.
Forget about dull photo albums or boxes filled with keepsakes, scrapbooking is one of the fastest growing hobbies, open to all ages and abilities. It is not about sticking photos in albums but a way of creatively displaying and preserving photographs as beautiful keepsakes and gifts. Projects can be small or large and can celebrate life, special events and everyday moments.
Information about scrapbooking will be available along with taster sessions, prizes and the opportunity to meet new friends. If you would rather just to come along and see the scrapbookers in action the museum is free of charge, open from 11am to 4pm and everyone is welcome.
For more information and to book a place please contact Jacqui Milliken on 028 9084 8123 or 07759444723. The price for a scrapbooking kit is £5. Tea and coffee will be available. Booking in advance is essential.
If you get hooked and want to join a scrapbooking class they are held at Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre on Wednesdays 1.30pm – 3.30pm & 7pm – 9pm and Thursdays 7pm – 9pm
