The Rathcoole Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership (RNRP) will host a ‘Careers and Enterprise Awareness Event’ in the Valley Leisure Centre on Thursday 1st March 2012. The event will target 16-25 year olds who are unemployed and will provide information on careers, employability and training.
Working closely with employers, training providers and statutory agencies, the RNRP believes this event is very timely given the current economic climate and recent rise in unemployment. With many of the Borough’s big employers and organisations on hand to offer advice on job vacancies and routes to employment, it is anticipated that this event will provide new hope for local people.
Organisations such as North City Training and Northern Regional College will also be available to provide information and advice on training courses while Mallusk Enterprise Park will be on hand to offer advice and guidance to those budding entrepreneurs wishing to start up their own business.
The event which will be attended by The Citizens’ Advice Bureau and employers such as Tesco, B&Q, CITB Construction Skills, Corr’s Corner Hotel and Rhyme Time Nursery will highlight the support that is available to jobseekers on their doorstep, enabling them to see a brighter future!
The event will run from 10.30am-2.30pm on Thursday 1st March and if you would like any further information please contact: Sara Barkley (028) 90340197 or Emma Rea (028) 90340053.
