Fantastic Line-Up at Shoreline Festival
Posted:11 August 2008

Mayor Alderman Victor Robinson prepares for the Shoreline Festival with headline act, Brian Houston.

This year’s Shoreline Festival has a fantastic array of entertainment to offer. Several of the big names in music will take part in the festival fun, to create an enjoyable mix of laid back vibes and rocked up tunes.

The Shoreline Festival is pleased to present headline act Brian Houston, one of the best local singer songwriters. Brian has a strong following across the UK and Ireland and has also ventured across the Atlantic to the shores of the USA and Canada. His rapport with audiences paired with his brand of ‘lively and passionate folk rock’ is sure to make him a Shoreline favourite. Brian will be supported by Brendan & Declan Murphy from the Four of Us.

Queen tribute band Flash Harry has been celebrating the music of Queen all over Ireland and the UK for over 13 years, playing sell-out gigs to fans. The band’s high energy performances stun audiences as they recreate the magic of Queen. Supporting Flash Harry will be Newtownabbey based band This Way Up.

Fans of the artistes are encouraged to come along and enjoy the festival. If you haven’t heard the artistes play, the Shoreline Festival provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy their performances the first time.

The Shoreline finale takes the form of Opera in the Park, which will be a spectacular evening of open-air entertainment. The outstanding line-up features world acclaimed Giselle Allen who dazzled the audience at Carrickfergus Castle last year during Proms in the Park, alongside Carolyn Dobbin, Paul O’Neill and Donald Maxwell, accompanied by renowned pianist Ingrid Surgenor.

All festival entertainment is free and acts will span the entire weekend, telephone
