Thursday 7 August - Saturday 30 August 2014
Echoes Around The World is a selection of original prints by Mary Kpakra. Mary Kpakra is a landscape artist influenced by the natural beauty and wonders of the world. The exhibition highlights the grandeur of the world through fine art print making and is brought to life with etchings, photo intaglio, collagraphs, dry point etchings and monoprints.
This exhibition is being held in aid of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Proceeds of paintings sold will be donated to G.D.B.A.
LEST WE FORGET…
By Lise McGreevy - Photojournalist & Visual Artist
Lise attended the WW1 Centenary Remembrance Service at the City Hall on the 4th August, which was organised by the Northern Ireland First World War Centenary Committee and Belfast city councillors.
It was a very moving and touching ceremony, where hundreds of members of the public turned up to participate in remembering the fallen on this momentous occasion. As a people photographer, Lise decided to stay behind the scenes at the event, taking images of people at ground level who were working at the city hall that special day or had given up their time to come and pay their respects and commemorate.
Lise’s work will be displayed in Museum at The Mill until Saturday 27 September 2014.
