Newtownabbey Way
The Newtownabbey Way walking and cycling route officially opened on the 24th October at the entrance to the Newtownabbey Way at Mossley Mill by the Mayor Alderman Victor Robinson and the Minister for the Department of the Environment, Alex Attwood MLA.
The Newtownabbey Way, originally conceived as the ‘Millennium Way’ in the late 1990s, becomes part of National Cycle Network Route 93 and runs from Corr’s Corner to the shores of Belfast Lough at Whiteabbey. Keen pedestrians and cyclists are already making use of the path which will undoubtedly be a major attraction for both residents and visitors to the Borough.
