Mayor Congratulates Olympic Torch Bearers

Some 8000 Torch Bearers will be carrying the Olympic Flame across the UK and the Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Billy Webb recently met some of the inspirational people from Newtownabbey who are carrying the torch. All of these torch bearers are well known in local community or sporting circles and some have represented their sports impressively at club and national level in recent years.

CRASH expands network with new Glengormley Branch

CRASH, Northern Ireland’s leading Accident Management Company, has expanded its regional network by opening a new branch in Glengormley. The branch which was officially opened by The Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Billy Webb, is the fourth branch to open as part of CRASH’s £1 million expansion plan announced last year.
