The Weekenders Club
The Weekenders Club at the Courtyard Theatre will celebrate its 3rd Birthday on the 16th February will a performance by the Ulster Scots eXperience, for full details of the show see the performance part of the web site. The Weekenders club was launched in February 2004 and currently has over 100 people enjoying the benefits offered to its members which include a discount on ticket prices for shows organised by the club which represents great value for your membership fee of £10 for an individual and £20 for a family of two adults and up to three children it is well worth value for money.
Special Member Only Events have included its Birthday Parties in February on the 1st Birthday we had the Police Service of Northern Ireland Ladies Choir and last year we celebrated its 2nd Birthday with a performance of the Rare Oul Times written by Ken McIlroy. The Play which centres on the lives of Brendan Behan and Patrick Kavanagh was enjoyed by weekender’s club members and members of the general public. As part of the celebration Club members received a free ticket and a pre show reception (photos attached) with a chance to meet the members of the cast.

Events in the programme have included a sell-out Jazz Brunches by the Apex Jazz Band, Northern Ireland's own woman of mass destruction, May McFetridge and yes there were brave theatre goers who sat in the front rows! Tributes to Queen by Flash Harry, Billy Connolly by Gary Moir as the Big Yin Revisited (which returns in June), Abba by Reborn, The Eagles by the Illegals to name but a few and our popular Ballroom of Romance in February as well as Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh so keep your eyes opened for future performances.

Membership of the Weekenders Club will be £10 this is in line with the Newtownabbey Music Club and still provides for great value. Members received up to £2 off each show organised by the Weekenders and last year members received an invitation to the Birthday Party which included a free buffet and show, as well as a free invitation to a Christmas show.
