Investors in People is a quality standard that recognises the contribution made to the success of the organisation through its people. The human resources of the organisation are a critical part of the delivery mechanism and can effect the success of any process of change. By investing in staff, the Council will provide better quality services and also safeguard what is the largest single cost to the organisations. Detailed training needs analysis will be conducted to ensure that all staff have the necessary skills to meet the challenges of their jobs.

The Council achieved the IIP accreditation on 14th March 2001.
