The Community Garden
About Our Facility
The Community Garden at Sentry Hill is used by 9 community groups from across the Borough. The participants sign a license agreement for a growing season which is generally April –March and maintain a number of raised beds. Within the raised beds they grown a variety of produce, flowers and vegetables, they participate in training as and when it is available and they enjoy the social aspect of the project. Currently there are 40 raised beds in use and there is the possibility to develop more in response to demand. The Community Garden User’s Forum is the collective name for the participants and they meet quarterly to discuss and plan their development.
