The Mayor of Newtownabbey attends nearly five hundred engagements during the Civic Year and each event is processed by the staff of the Mayors Office.

In view of the Mayor’s busy schedule, it is essential that each invitation is put in writing at least three weeks before the date of the event.

Upon the Mayor’s acceptance of an invitation, the Mayor’s Office will issue written confirmation and will ask that a Civic Pro forma be completed and returned. The form is used to ascertain essential details for the Mayor’s information such as: nature of event, parking arrangements for Civic Vehicle and the dress requirement for the Mayor and any other relevant information.
