Alderman Victor Robinson
Alderman Victor Robinson was first elected to serve as a member for Macedon DEA, in a by-election in May 2002. Since then, he has served as Chair and Vice Chair of various committees. He was elected as Deputy Mayor in June 2007 and as Mayor in June 2008 and is also a serving member of the Newtownabbey District Policing Partnership, and was Chair of the Newtownabbey and Antrim Council RPA Transition Committee.
Alderman Robinson has lived in the borough for most of his life. With a background in youth and community work with the North Eastern Education & Library Board, he also set up many of the borough's voluntary groups during the time when he was employed by the Community Development Agency in Glengormley, as a Project Director overseeing various community projects.
Victor Robinson was re-elected to Council in the May 2011 election, to represent Macedon DEA.
Now semi-retired, Alderman Robinson’s interests include travel, reading, music and the arts. He also takes a keen interest in his continuing involvement with community development and good relations.
